Hi, I’m Alex!
I got on my first plane at 6 weeks old, and I haven’t stopped traveling since. I’ve been to 22 countries and 36 US states, and I can’t wait to add more to the list! I love all types of destinations, although I must confess that beautiful, tropical beaches are a favorite. I adore learning about and experiencing all sorts of different cultures. I do my best to practice sustainable, eco-friendly, culturally conscious travel (although I sometimes miss the mark, I always try!).
What will you find here?
I believe that travel is essential. It’s the absolute best way to learn about the world and the people around you (not to mention yourself)! There are some things that can never be replicated – you just have to experience them for yourself. That’s why I think it’s important that travel is accessible and enjoyable for all.
Whether it’s your first time leaving your hometown, or a trip to your 50th new country, travel shouldn’t be scary or overwhelming. I’m on a mission to share my knowledge and tips with as many people as possible so that everyone can experience and love travel as much as I do! On this site you’ll find travel resources, tips for new travelers, and information about all sorts of destinations, from Cuba to Costa Rica to Japan and Colorado (and more!).
Travel photography and animals of all kinds are two particular passions of mine, so you’ll also find resources for upping your travel photography game and for ethical animal encounters (plus what you can expect to see in terms of street animals in a given location).
